Soft pastel knits combined with hard black, a romantic collection.
Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli designed a very light spring collection for Red Valentino. The show starts with darker pieces, but quickly turn to soft pastels in bleu, salmon an a very ligth green. Small dresses, corcets and petit flowers are shown in the seatle catwalk. Lace patterns are used in fabric, but also in knitwear.
This atmosfpere is ideal for pointelle knitting, which you can also come accross under the name ajour knitting. This terchnique is used in soft striped colours with bleu and salmon, but also in crispy white in an all over dress.
